<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nBy \u201cloving<\/em>\u201d we mean that we love others (and ourselves) even if we don\u2019t like them (sometimes or all the time)! Love is a verb, not simply a feeling. A spiritual activist practices love in action. To practice love means responding to others from a place of compassion and empathy and to see the embodiment of the sacred in all beings. Loving means to be engaged in the present moment while being aware of the future and acting from a place of connection with one\u2019s highest ethical, moral and spiritual principles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n By \u201cjust<\/em>\u201d we mean a world where all forms of inequity and dehumanization are overcome not only through the necessary legal and political channels but also and more importantly, through consciousness raising and the transformation of peoples\u2019 hearts and minds. This can only come from empathy, understanding, trust, and compassion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n By \u201csacred\u201d<\/em> we mean seeing the inherent beauty, awe, wonder and radical amazement of the universe and the planet and enhancing our capacity to appreciate the sacred in and feel our sense of interconnectedness with the universe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n By \u201csustainable<\/em>\u201d we mean living in a world in which all human activity is ecologically sensitive such that the world functions in a way that ensures the longevity and well-being of the life support system of the planet and its inhabitants through just economic, social, and political systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A spiritual activist is one who is a courageous warrior of love!
