COMMUNITY ORGANIZING Intern/Volunteer

Position Summary:
The Network of Spiritual Progressives (NSP) is seeking a part-time Community Organizing Volunteer/Intern to work on-line to engage members of the Network of Spiritual Progressives in our national strategy build a new bottom line of love and caring in inter-personal, professional, political and civic life.
The Community Organizing Volunteer/Intern will reach out and respond to members and those who desire to become NSP activists, engaging them in professional, topical, regional or demographic community groups which offer a means to connect with others, contribute to advancing their values, and create change.
The CO will serve as the organizational contact for newcomers to the national NSP. The CO will have a key role in implementing a campaign to mobilize people, build public support for NSP’s initiatives, and influence both consciousness and social policy.
The CO reports to the Executive Director and works as part of a collaborative, committed NSP-Tikkun Team.

Specific talents and gifts or skills needed:

  • Well organized.
  • Sincere passion for the greater good
  • Excellent communication skills and an outgoing and friendly personality.
  • Comfortable with on-line communication. Social media savvy is a plus.
  • Organizing experience with a non-profit is a plus.
  • Able to devote at least eight to ten hours a week of your own time.

CAMPUS ORGANIZER Intern/Volunteer

Position Summary:
The Network of Spiritual Progressives (NSP) is seeking a part-time Campus Organizer Volunteer/Intern to help plan and execute an outreach strategy in order to build a youth movement in the NSP. We seek to gain the participation of the youth in building a new bottom line of love and caring in inter-personal, professional, political and civic life.
The Campus Organizer Volunteer/Intern will engage youth groups, college students and young adults through word of mouth, fun events, awareness campaigns, petition signings and more.
Through these strategies, we will offer a means to connect with others, contribute to advancing their values, and create change.
The CO will serve as an outreach coordinator, events planner and organizational contact for youth newcomers to the national NSP. The CO will have a key role in implementing a campaign to mobilize the youth, build public support for NSP’s initiatives, and influence both consciousness and social policy.
The CO reports to the Executive Director and works as part of a collaborative, committed NSP-Tikkun Team.

  • Energetic and positive
  • Ability to develop innovative outreach strategies
  • Creativity and art skills are a plus
  • Sincere passion for the greater good
